This is the second book in this series by guitarist Gonzalo Bergara. Check out the first book reviewed here.
Basically this book is in the same format as the first one. You get six written single note solos over the chords of these songs:
- Djangology
- Blues Claire
- Lady Be Good
- Sweet Georgia Brown
- Django’s Tiger
- Honeysuckle Rose
Gonzalo points out that the solo are not arranged in any particular order. In his words:
This is not a continuation of the first volume, you donʼt need to have the first to understand this one.
The eBook comes with audio files of Gonzalo playing the solos. SInce they are all non-stop 8th note solos, you basically get to learn good strong idiomatic lines that fit the gypsy jazz style.
The focus here is to get these sounds under your fingers. Gonzalo also explains what each measure uses and gives tip as well.
All in all, this is a great book for guitarists who want linear vocabulary for this style of music. These are great etudes, warm-ups and just a good way to learn to play gypsy jazz. Strongly recommended!
Pros: Another great volume from master guitarist, Gonzalo Bergara.
Cons: No slowed down version of the solos this time around.
TLDR: Wanna get gypsy jazz lines and ideas into your fingers? Get this eBook and start shedding!

I cannot guarantee a review for every submission & if I’m not too into it, I may opt not to review it. I mean, it’s better to get a good review that for me to write a bad review just because it’s not a match for the kind of stuff I dig right? :p
NOTE: All reviews reflect my honest personal opinion so be aware that I will point out both cool Pros and Cons that I see in the work. You dig?
