This book by Anik Singal released in 2018 describes his take on how to be a successful entrepreneur. The 4 stages are self, catapult, authority and people. These take a person from being an employee to becoming an entrepreneur.
The book includes many of his own discoveries in entrepreneurship and relates them to larger lessons that he found out as a serial entrepreneur. The writing style is pretty conversational and is easy to read. From his childhood lemonade stand to being a financial planner & growing a business through various ups and downs.
A lot of the lessons that he shares are practical and the main strength of the books lies with the questions and exercises included at the back of selected chapters. For readers who actually do these exercises, I believe will get the most out of the book.
Some of my personal highlights from the book include his story about reaching out to Mark Cuban via e-mail (and getting a reply) in 2002 as well as how he met Shah Rukh Khan.
For avid readers of business and entrepreneur books, you probably would have read similar lessons from other books. That however, does not detract from the value that Anik brings with this book.
It’s not a perfect book but certainly has its place especially with younger and new entrepreneurs.
In conclusion, this is a good read for general entrepreneur tips and an overview of the journey, skill sets and mind set needed for this.
Pros: Easy to read book, lots of personal stories and anecdotes to make the content relatable .
Cons: None.
TLDR: If you’re curious about what it takes to be an entrepreneur, this might be a good book to check out.

[Submissions for Review Consideration]
- Are you an author who wrote a jazz, guitar or music book?
- Have you created a DVD or an online video course or subscription based website?
- Would you like me to review your book/course?
Please send me a message at azsamad2 at gmail.com with:
For courses: a link to the course/video/product + access info etc.
For books: a link to the book (Dropbox) or PDF attachment (if it’s small) for review consideration.
Depending on whether I dig the book/course, I’ll let you know if I do plan to review it!
I cannot guarantee a review for every submission & if I’m not too into it, I may opt not to review it. I mean, it’s better to get a good review that for me to write a bad review just because it’s not a match for the kind of stuff I dig right? :p
NOTE: All reviews reflect my honest personal opinion so be aware that I will point out both cool Pros and Cons that I see in the work. You dig?
